Tell us a little bit about yourself!

Hi, my name is Nate Simon and I just turned 21 years old. I’m super excited because now I can drink beer with my brothers. I go to school and I get to work various jobs that I love. I am the CEO of 21 Pineapples. My favorite thing to do is to hang out with my family and my friends.

What do you love about yourself?

I love that I love everybody. I spread kindness wherever I go. I think I’m a really good athlete, and of course I think I’m really good looking.

What makes you the happiest?

I’m really happy when I’m with my friends. I love making people laugh. I also like to eat, and that makes me pretty happy.

What is your biggest dream for the future?

My dream for my future would probably be to live on my own, or maybe with one of my brothers, and just be happy. I like to travel, and I love spreading my kindness wherever I go.

What does having Down syndrome mean to you? 

Well, having Down syndrome means I’m special. It gives me superpowers. Having Down syndrome means you are extra loving.

What do you want the world to know about Down syndrome?

Having Down syndrome makes me just like you (sometimes maybe even better!) Having Down syndrome gives me opportunities. I have been a model, I am in two movies, and I’m also in a music video. I’m also really good at sports and have at least 100 gold medals. I’m one of the best in my state when it comes to golf, but I also love basketball and bowling; I love anything as long as I’m with my friends. Down syndrome definitely doesn’t define me.
